For the UPSC Operations Officer (Group A & B
Gazetted) Recruitment 2026 – Notification No. 09/2026.
The age limit varies depending on the post but
generally falls between 30 and 40 years. For the Operations Officer
role, the maximum age is 35 years for UR/EWS candidates. Relaxations
apply as per UPSC norms: SC/ST candidates get 5 years, OBC candidates
3 years, and PwBD candidates between 10 and 15 years depending on
category. Ex‑servicemen also enjoy concessions under central government rules.
The vacancies are distributed among UR, OBC, SC, ST, and
EWS categories. Horizontal reservation is applicable for PwBD candidates,
