WHO CAN APPLY TO INDIAN NAVY SSC OFFICER RECRUITMENT 2026

·         Candidates who have completed or are in the final year of their graduate/post‑graduate degree.
·         Degrees must be from recognized universities/institutions under UGC, AICTE, IIT, NIT, IIIT Acts.

MEDICAL STANDARDS / RELAXATION

·         Candidates must meet the prescribed medical standards for their chosen branch/cadre.
·         Height Requirements: Men – 157 cm; Women – 152 cm.
·         Vision Standards: Strict eyesight rules apply, especially for Pilot/Observer/ATC entries.
·         Relaxation: No relaxation in medical standards; candidates must be declared fit by authorized naval medical boards.

·        Medical examination is mandatory and cannot be shifted to another hospital/centre.

SELECTION PROCEDURE

1.      Shortlisting of Applications:
Based on normalized marks in the qualifying degree.
For BE/B.Tech, marks up to the 5th semester are considered.
For Postgraduates (M.Sc/M.Tech), marks of all semesters or pre‑final year are considered.
2.      SSB Interview:
Shortlisted candidates are informed via email/SMS.
The interview includes psychological tests, group tasks, and personal interview over 5 days.
3.      Medical Examination:
Candidates recommended by SSB undergo a comprehensive medical check‑up.
4.      Final Merit List:
Prepared based on SSB performance + medical fitness.
