Steel Authority of India Limited, Rourkela Steel

offering a total of 1,110 vacancies across Trade, Diploma (Technician), and
Graduate Apprentice categories. This recruitment drive provides a valuable
opportunity for ITI, Diploma, and Graduate candidates to gain hands‑on training
under the Apprentices Act, 1961.
The online application process is open from 17 July 2026 to
26 August 2026, and candidates must apply through the NAPS portal (for ITI
trades) or NATS portal (for Diploma/Graduate apprentices). Selection will be
based purely on academic merit, followed by document verification scheduled
from 1–26 September 2026 at Rourkela.

SAIL APPRENTICE RECRUITMENT 2026 STIPED
During the one‑year training period at Rourkela Steel Plant,
apprentices will receive a fixed monthly stipend as per the Apprentices Act,
1961 and the guidelines of NAPS/NATS. The stipend amount differs based on the
category of apprenticeship — Trade Apprentices (₹9,600), Diploma Apprentices (₹10,900),
and Graduate Apprentices (₹12,300). The payment is credited directly to the
apprentice’s bank account every month. Apprentices are not entitled to
additional allowances such as HRA, TA, or DA, since the program is designed
purely for training and skill development.
